Meet Tanya
Tanya N. Miller (she, her, elle) is a dynamic, visionary, results-driven strategist with 12+ years' experience in mental health policy, planning, and promotion.
She brings a strong record of strategic and sustainable project management and support, and a reputation for meaningful leadership, engagement, and community-building.
Whether in-person or on-screen, Tanya specializes in bringing people together, charting new paths, and raising expectations.
In addition to founding TnM Consulting, Tanya has worked at the Parole Board of Canada, Healthy Minds | Healthy Campuses, Langara College, and the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
She holds a Bachelor of Journalism and Psychology (Hons.) from Carleton University, a Master of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, and post-grad certificates in Project Management, Anti-Racism, and Mental Health Law.
Tanya is very passionate about philanthropy and community-building, and is most proud of her five years as a Youth Mentor (Big Sister) in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
Currently, Tanya Co-Chairs the Ottawa Parole Office Citizen Advisory Committee, where she advises Correctional Service Canada on its policies, programs, and services, and how it runs its correctional facilities and Community-Based Residential Facilities (halfway houses) across Greater Ottawa, Cornwall, and Nunavut.
In her spare time, you can find Tanya volunteering, exploring new cities, reading in her tea garden, or at the nearest bowling alley.
